The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (The National Center) is looking for spring interns in our Mesa, AZ headquarters!. We want dynamic, passionate, and intelligent students pursuing an Associate or Bachelors degree to join the team and learn more about economic development in Indian Country!

Executive Leadership Team Intern. Apply here!

  • Job Summary:
    • The Executive Leadership Team Intern, under the supervision of Vice President, plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the assigned programs. Responsible for counseling and follow up of new clients in the assigned geographic area, with active participation in strategic planning and in meeting the objectives necessary for the NCAIED mission and program goals. This role requires knowledge of the legislation, regulations and methods used in federal government contracting, business and industry practices, sources of supply, cost factors, requirements characteristics, as well as legislation and procurement programs specific to American Indians and other Native Americans.

 

  • Essentials Duties/Responsibilities
    • Support Executive Leadership Team efforts for the following awareness campaigns:
      • Reservation Economic Summit
      • Native Edge Institutes
      • Support various marketing efforts, including
        • Creating, editing, and distributing marketing materials
        • Developing social media engagement plans for NCAIED
        • Ensure website content is accurate, engaging, and up-to-date
      • Assist with coordination and promotion of volunteer projects
      • Other duties related to Executive Leadership Team efforts as assigned

Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suit is necessary.

    • Work performed primarily in an office environment.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

    • Aggregate data from various sources to construct streamlined data pipelines and integrate data from multiple PayPal systems
    • Identify key metrics and build exec-facing dashboards to track progress of the business and its highest priority initiatives
    • Identify key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data driven decision-making
    • Work closely across the matrix with teams like Finance, Marketing, Product, Engineering(Export) and senior executives
    • Lead and participate in special projects/initiatives: innovate and implement large-scale quality improvements to processes and/or systems by conducting data analysis and making recommendations, troubleshooting technical issues, and refining processes around customer support
