MESA, AZ – Nominations are now open for the 2025 Native American 40 Under 40 award. Nominated by members of their communities, this prestigious award is bestowed upon American Indians (including Canadian First Nations), Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians who are under the age of 40 (as of January 1, 2025) and have demonstrated leadership, initiative, and dedication while making significant contributions in their professions and to their communities. Past award winners span diverse fields, reflecting the talent and diversity of Indian Country. Now entering its 16th year, the 40 Under 40 awards program is one of the primary ways The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development recognizes and cultivates young leaders.
The deadline to submit a nomination is November 1, 2024. Both self and third-party nominations are accepted. Nominations can be submitted here.
“The Native American 40 Under 40 awards embody the dedication, resilience, and leadership found throughout Indian Country,” said Chris James, President and CEO of The National Center. “I have no doubt the 2025 class will be one of our most impressive yet. I look forward to celebrating these remarkable current and future leaders at RES 2025.”
The nomination process for the 40 Under 40 awards is extensive and those interested are encouraged to give themselves plenty of time to complete it. The 2025 40 Under 40 class will be announced before the end of the year. They will be formally honored during the next Reservation Economic Summit (RES), taking place in Las Vegas from March 10-13, 2025.
