In just a few days, the National Center – along with thousands of our closest friends – will be in Las Vegas for the 2020 Reservation Economic Summit. If you’ve yet to secure your spot for the largest economic development gathering in Indian Country, don’t fret – there’s still time to register. Please visit www.res.ncaied.org to learn more about how to book your ticket today.

We have an incredible lineup for you at Paris Las Vegas. We start with our scholarship golf tournament on Sunday, where we will raise money for our business scholarship program designed to benefit deserving young students. On Monday we host a Native Edge Institute in Las Vegas, giving attendees the chance for a single day of intense procurement and contracting training. On Tuesday we’ll hear from the business leaders of tomorrow through our Youth Business Plan Competition. Throughout the week, talented artisans will be selling their products to RES attendees. Fantastic speakers like actor Martin Sensmeier will address our general sessions. Our Business Trade show and Buy Native Procurement Matchmaking Expo will provide you ample opportunity to grow your business and expand your network.

And of course, our incredible sessions will give you insight into the most important topics affecting business in Indian Country today. Take a few minutes to check out what we have in store next week. I can’t wait to kick things off on Sunday, and I hope to see you there.

Of course, the National Center is much more than RES. While we are putting the finishing touches on the week, we’re also gearing up for our next Native Edge Institute in Spokane, Washington. On April 8 and 9 we’ll be at Northern Quest Casino and the Spokane Tribe Casino in Western Washington State. If you’re in the area and want to learn more about federal and small business contracting and procurement, join us for our second NEI in the Pacific Northwest, taking place in just a few short weeks. After Spokane, we have several other NEIs planned for the rest of the year, including in Connecticut, Chicago, Anchorage, and Phoenix.

And we’re continuing to grow our organization, recently making a new addition to the team in Tara Koleski. Tara, who has a background in coaching and mentorship, will be a program manager and is a tremendous addition to the team. Make sure to say hello to her at RES!

Thank you for your support of the National Center. We would not be able to host RES – or any other event – without it.

Sincerely,

Chris James
