Putting Indian Country To Work

The National Center’s PTAC Mission

Our mission is to develop and expand an American Indian private sector which employs Indian labor, increases the number of viable tribal and individual Indian businesses, and positively impacts and involves reservation communities, by establishing business relationships between Indian enterprises and private industry.

Under the DoD/DLA agreement, the National Center’s PTAC has provided American Indian and other Native American owned businesses and tribal enterprises with prime contract and subcontract opportunities with DoD, other federal, state, and local government agencies, and prime contractors. The National Center’s PTAC seeks to extend its accomplishments to help more Native businesses on and off reservations to secure jobs in the defense and related industries, thereby decreasing unemployment and increasing the economies of the reservations serviced.

The National Center’s PTAC continues to successfully operate the program along with three major DoD prime contractors supporting its efforts – Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon. Our record of accomplishments is based on hard work, ethical practices and intense commitment to the needs and values of Indian tribal and individually owned businesses.
